We sat down with youngster Luis Benedetti ahead of our league game against Adelaide City to find out more about him in our Get To Know series.

Q: Which team do you look forward to playing the most and why?

I love playing against Adelaide City as it’s always intense

Q. Who has had the most influence on your career?

My dad is probably the biggest influence on my career

Q. How did you become a Metro player?

I always knew it was a great club and I wanted to be apart of it.

Q. What did you last score on the beep test?

I think I got 12.1 back in Year 8.

Q. Growing up who was your all-time favourite player?

Lionel Messi, he is the best player ever.

Q. Who is the funniest teammate?

I find Dylan Smith very funny.

Q. Which teammate is happiest after a win? I like to think I’m pretty happy after a win.

Q. Who is the smartest teammate?

Not really sure about that one to be honest, but I’d say Rocky Callisto is pretty smart.

Q. Toughest individual opponent?

My toughest opponents would probably have to be any of the defenders at training, I'm always struggling to get past them!

Q. What training drill do you dread the most?

Probably the rondo at the start of training as I’m always a bit rusty.
