Get To Know - Christian Esposito

We sat down with star striker Christian Esposito to find out more about him in our Get To Know series.

Q: MetroStars debut?

I think it was against Olympic and it was an exciting night, not just because of the debut but because I also scored an awesome free kick.

Q. What attracted you to playing football?

Football was in my blood since I little and my Grandpa made me start this amazing sport.

Q. What brought you to Metro?

MetroDtars is always been the best club in NPL and I wanted to play for the best.

Q. How long have you been at Metro?

I've been at Metrostars for 5 years now

Q. How many years have you played football for, and for what clubs?

I started playing football when I was 6 but my professional career started at 17 and through those years I played in the best clubs around Italy. Albinoleffe in Serie B, Novara in Serie B, Provercelli in Serie C2, Catanzaro in Serie C2, Saint Christophe in Serie C2, Savona in Serie C1 and now I'm here at home MetroStars.

Q. Biggest influence on your career?

Like I said before it was my Grandpa back in Italy that made me love this sport and my career started from him.

[endif]Q. Do you have any footballing superstitions and a favourite number?

No I don't have any superstitions. My favourite number is 23.

Q. What club do you support and why?

I always supported Inter and it's been like this since I was little.

Q. Who is your favourite player in the world and why?

Messi of course! He is the best in my opinion, no one is like him and that's why he is my favourite

Q. Greatest on-field moment?

My greatest on field moment is when we won the league in Italy from C2 to C1 with Catanzaro.

Q. Who do you love to beat?

I love to beat Comets.
