SA Government announces funding for TK Shutter Reserve


The South Australian Government announced that funding commitment for upgrade at TK Shutter Reserve, part of a $10 million commitment announced in the State Budget to help local football clubs meet growing demand. North Eastern MetroStars' TK Shutter Reserve at Klemzig will receive funding for an artificial pitch and lighting upgrade. MetroStars President Andrew Perrone was excited about the announcement for the club. "This investment will go a long way to addressing the growing pressures facing the club to cater for the increasing participation in the sport. Open space for team sport is a luxury." "This funding will maximise utilisation on our footprint and raise the standard for our kids." "On behalf of the 330 kids, 50 seniors and 600 plus parents and volunteers we say thank you to the State Government, FFSA and Local Council for working together to commit to such funding projects that will provide benefits that will been joyed for years to come," said Perrone. Football Federation SA (FFSA) CEO, Michael Carter, spoke on behalf of the entire State’s Football Community to thank the State Government for their continued support."FFSA is delighted with the support of the State Government in regards to our growing demand for improved Football infrastructure,” Michael said. "As participation continues to grow it is important that as a sport we are planning for the future, the entire Football Family joins in thanking the State Government for their support.”
