Hear from our Head Coach Danny Graystone before tomorrow night's match against FK Beograd.

Welcome to Round 2 of the 2023 NPL season.

Tomorrow we welcome all supporters and officials of FK Beograd back after facing them in our final pre-season hit out only a couple of weeks ago. We also welcome them back to TK Shutter Reserve as work is still currently undergoing over at Frank Mitchell Park, however we look forward to visiting them in the second half of the season.

I would like to thank you all for your tremendous support last week in our Round 1 win over Adelaide Comets. Although we didn’t produce the team performance we are capable of producing the most important outcome of Round 1 is always to get the three points on the board and to start the season with a win - to get that against one of the finalists from last season gives us a result we can start to build on.

This week we welcome a very difficult opponent in FK Beograd. Although we claimed victory against them a couple of weeks ago in pre-season they showed glimpses of what they are capable of and have also added additional players to their squad . I expect them to be a very strong side this season so we will have to perform at our very best tomorrow get the result we have worked hard all week to achieve.

Finally a big congratulations to both the U18s and Reserves sides on their victories last week. Although we are not results focussed in these age groups, the results were a reflection of the performances that both teams put in and to start the season with three victories in our Senior Performance Phase was a great effort by all.
