Wooding Claims Club Champion Award
Liam Wooding has capped off another stellar season by claiming his second Club Champion Award at the club's 2017 Presentation Evening last night. Wooding, who won the award in 2015, also took home the Player' Player of The Year Award. Wooding played 30 matches and scored 13 goals this season, and was part of our Federation Cup winning team along with featuring in our FFA Cup Round of 32 match. In total, he has played 98 matches for the club. Christian Esposito claimed the Golden Boot Award, scoring 18 goals in all competitions. Damian Canala claimed back to back Reserves' Player of the Year Awards with his good performances on the field again this season. Taras Gomulka was awarded the club's Rising Star Award for his impressive season with the club's Under 18 and Reserves teams. Domenic & Virginia Iommazzo were awarded the Metro Knights Perpetual Trophy. The award, which is selected by the previous year's recipient, is about paying tribute to those who often unselfishly sacrifice themselves for the good of this club. The award is only awarded to a non-paid individual who has been involved with our club for the past 12 months. It is a recognition for services of and individual over and beyond expectations. 2017 Roll of Honour Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Liam Wooding Players Player Award Liam Wooding Golden Boot Christian Esposito Rising Star Award Taras Gomulka Metro Knights Perpetual Trophy Domenic & Virginia Iommazzo Reserves Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Damian Canala Players Player Award Damian Canala Coach's Award Dylan D'Agostino Under 18 Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Jason Li Players Player Award Taras Gomulka Coach's Award Adam Iommazzo Under 17 Sponsored by Parente Cafe & Ristorante Best & Fairest Award Joshua Fraser Players Player Award Aidan Ferella Coach's Award James Gallagher'
