A double by Christian Esposito has secured North Eastern MetroStars the three points in their match against Adelaide Comets in a 3-2 result.
Tom Strain continued his goalscoring form, with a goal after 21 minutes to give MetroStars a 1-0 lead.
Former MetroStars players Stefan Simic equalised for the away side, but MetroStars took the lead back 60 seconds later when Esposito scored.
Esposito then extended the lead to two goals with another goal after 65 minutes.
Andreas Wiens gave Comets hope scoring with ten minutes remaining, but MetroStars held on for a 3-2 victory.
