MetroStars Overcome City

North Eastern MetroStars have moved to the top of the National Premier League - SA table, with a 2-0 victory over Adelaide City at Adelaide City Park.

Tom Strain got the Stars' off to the perfect start, with a goal after only 8 minutes, when Tim Henderson's cheeky chip over the defence put Strain into goal.

And on the stroke of full time Liam Wooding secured all three points when his shot flew past City keeper Ryan Veitch.

The win moves MetroStars three points clear at the top of the table.
