MetroStars Progress in Cup Nailbitter

North Eastern MetroStars have progressed to Round 2 of the FFA Cup SA Qualifying leg with a tough 2-1 victory over Campbelltown City at TK Shutter Reserve.

Anthony Ture got the Red Devils off to the perfect start scoring after 18 minutes, but minutes later a blooper by defender Iain Fyfe saw him chip the ball into his own net when attempting to back pass to keeper Nick Harpas.

And on the half hour mark, Christian Esposito put MetroStars up with a perfectly timed goal.

The win puts MetroStars into Round 2 of the local Cup competition.
