Juniors Results - 20 May


Here are the results from the week ending 20 May in the Junior Premier & State League competitions.

The Under 17A won their third match of the season with a strong 6-2 away victory against Cumberland United.

The Under 16A played out an exciting 4-2 victory on Friday night against Campbelltown City, to remain three point behind league leaders WT Birkalla. A double by Raef Daou in the first half along with strikes from Connor Higgins and Savvas Tiliakos rounded out the win.

The Under 15A lost in a thrilling match, 4-3 away at Cumberland United. The side went down 2-0 within minutes of the match commencing, but rallied back to level the scores through Francesco Schimizzi and Ariath Piol, but the Foxes scored another just before half time. Piol leveled the scores again just after half time, but the Foxes secured the victory with a goal five minutes before full time.

The Under 15JSL team secured a 4-2 victory at Cumberland United, thanks to a double by Louis Rocca, and single goals to Anik Warnakulasuriya and Ethan Ferraresso. The win keeps the team on equal points with joint leaders Adelaide City.

The Under 14A side has a 5-0 victory against Campbelltown City. Two goals from Michael Anfiteatro in the first half, along with goals to Oliver Trimboli, Leonard Ducaj and Emir Shukur sealed the victory.

The Under 14JSL bounced back from a 1-0 half time deficit, to secure a 4-1 victory over Adelaide Comets. Goals to Sam Nieuwenhuizen, Sebastian Mercuri, Jack Foster and Edward Capone sealed the come back result, to remain six points atop of the table.

The Under 13A team went down 2-0 to Cumberland United.

The Under 13JSL side will host Elizabeth Grove at TK Shutter Reserve on Wednesday 30 May.

The Under 12JPL side had a 3-1 away victory against Modbury. Goals to Vincenzo Scalzi, Grant Habonimana and Milan Cristiano set up the win.

The Under 12JSL Gold team had a 5-0 victory over Adelaide Comets, scoring four goals in the first half. A hat trick to Marcus Jones, and goals to Domenic Ventra and Aadi Balaji secured the three points.

The Under 12JSL Red side had a 4-1 away victory against South Adelaide. Joshua Procopio scored a double, with Ryan Ayling and Daniel Marticanaj adding a goal each.
