Juniors Results - 29 July
Here are the results from the week ending 29 Julyin the Junior Premier & State League competitions.
The Under 17A came back from 1-0 down at half time, to defeat White City 2-1 and remain in sixth spot on the ladder.
The Under 16A team won 4-2 away against Adelaide Comets on Friday night. Peter Unerkov scored first after 11 minutes, with Connor Higgins popping in the second goal four minutes later. Raef Daou made it 3-0 after 22 minutes. Comets hit back with two goals after the break, but Christian Zagari scored 5 minutes from time to seal the victory and move to five points clear at the top of the table.
The Under 15A side held on for a 2-0 victory over second placed Adelaide City. The win keeps the side in third spot.
The Under 15JSL team had a 3-0 away win against Modbury Jets. Louis Rocca scored a double, while Luis Vollmer chipped in with a goal also.
The Under 14A team lost their first match of the season, after going down 3-2 to Adelaide Comets. Francesco Schimizzi and Patrick West were the scorers. Despite the loss, the side remains top of the table, nine points ahead of second placed Adelaide City.
The Under 14JSL side remained undefeated on top of the table, with a 4-1 win over Raiders. Sam Nieuwenhuizen opened the scoring after 18 minutes with Jack Foster scoring just before half time. Nieuwenhuizen got his second goal of the match just after half time, with Judd Panozzo rounding out the victory just before full time.
The Under 13A team played out an exciting 2-2 at Fulham United. Antonio Ielasi and Daniel Borg were the goalscorers.
The Under 13JSL team defeated The Cove 8-0. Aidan Green scored twice, while Seb Zito, Marcus Ooi, Aidan Ingham, Sam Iannace, Alesandro Beatrice and Damian Francesca each scored. The Under 12JPL side went down 2-1 to Adelaide Comets with Grant Habonimana the scorer. The Under 12JSL Gold team won 4-0 over Cumberland United. Marcus Jones, Aadi Balaji, James Stirling and Phoenix McFarlane were the goalscorers.
