400th 1st Div Up For MetroStars


North Eastern MetroStars are set to play their 400th South Australian First Division match this weekend against Adelaide City. The club has played 539 First Division, Second Division, Federation Cup, Finals, NPL Finals Series and FFA Cup matches since joining Federation football in 1999.

MetroStars first played in the First Division, then called Premier League, in 2000 after gaining promotion after only entering Federation football in 1999. The first match in the First Division was played on 19 February 2000 away at Ramsay Park against Elizabeth City which ended in a 1-1 draw. The club has achieved 231 wins, 82 draws and 86 losses in the 399 matches played in First Division football.
