Juniors Results - 2 September
Here are the results from the week ending 2 September in the Junior Premier & State League competitions.
The Under 17 JPL team won 7-2 away to Croydon Kings on Friday night.
The Under 16 JPL side went up 2-1 after the half hour mark, before conceding three goals in the second half to go down 5-2 against Modbury. Gusmao Naidoo scored after 19 minutes, with Connor Higgins scoring on the half hour mark. Despite the loss, the team still remains top of the ladder with two matches remaining.
The Under 15 team went down 2-1 against Adelaide Comets, with Abbas Habib scoring a penalty in the first half.
Second placed Under 15 JSL side held top of the table Adelaide City to a 2-2 away draw. Anik Warnakulasuriya scored his fifth goal of the season after 8 minutes, while Harvey Williams scored just before full time to level the scores.
The Under 14 JPL side clinched the A Division League title, with a 5-2 win over West Adelaide. Aidan Schirripa opened the scoring after 3 minutes, with Francesco Schimizzi scoring on the 20th minute mark. Fabian D'Angelo scored a couple of minutes later, with Schimizzi scoring twice before half time to complete his hat trick and take a 5-0 half time lead.
The Under 14 JSL team won 12-2 over Sturt to remain top of the table with six matches remaining. Jack Foster scored a hat trick, while Sam Nieuwenhuizen, Judd Panozzo, Oliver Canale each scoring twice. Alex Sobieraj, Ryley Schroeder and Sebastian Mercuri also each scored a goal.
The Under 13 JPL side won their fifth match of the season with a 7-0 victory over Croydon. Jack Lazzaro scored a hat trick, with Daniel Borg scoring twice. Antonio Ielasi and Bayad Hasan each scored a goal.
The Under 13 JSL team won 11-3 over Croydon. Marcus Ooi scored a hat trick to take his tally to 35 goals for the season, while Alesandro Beatrice and James Wallwork scored a double each. Sebastian Zito, Samuel Iannace, Nikolas Ferronato and Hugh Wells each scored.
The Under 12 JPL side won 4-0 at home against Adelaide Blue Eagles. Thomas Mastrantuone and Grant Habonimana both scored two goals each.
The Under 12 JSL Red team won 2-0 against Cove, with Manna Lokolo and Daniel Marticanaj scoring to remain on top of the table.
The Under 12 JSL Gold team won 7-2 against Sturt Lions. James Stirling and Marcus Jones each scored a hat trick, with Luke Stacey scoring his first goal of the season to round out the scoring.
