Lachlan Barr Claims Club Champion Award

Lachlan Barr has capped off a stellar first season at MetroStars by claiming the Club Champion Award at the club's 2018 Presentation Evening last night. Barr, who arrived at T.K. Shutter Reserve in February from English EFL League One side Bradford City, also shared the Player' Player of The Year Award with last year's Club Champion Liam Wooding. Barr played 23 matches and scored 4 goals this season, and was part of an instrumental part of a strong Metro backline. Christian Esposito claimed the Golden Boot Award for the second season running, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. Cooper O'Donnell claimed the Reserves' Player of the Year Awards with his good performances on the field this season, whilst Cameron O'Doherty took out the Player's Player award. Hamish Gow was awarded the club's Rising Star Award for his impressive season, notching up 12 appearances in the First Team whilst contining his good form in the Reserves. Mirella Perrone was awarded the Metro Knights Perpetual Trophy. The award, which is selected by the previous year's recipient, is about paying tribute to those who often unselfishly sacrifice themselves for the good of this club. The award is only awarded to a non-paid individual who has been involved with our club for the past 12 months. It is a recognition for services of and individual over and beyond expectations. 2018 Roll of Honour Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Lachlan Barr Players Player Award Lachlan Barr and Liam Wooding Golden Boot Christian Esposito Rising Star Award Hamish Gow Metro Knights Perpetual Trophy Reserves Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Cooper O'Donnell Players Player Award Cameron O'Doherty Under 18 Sponsored by Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Best & Fairest Award Alessio Melisi Players Player Award Daniel Frangakis
