Stars line up for AUFC Legends


North Eastern MetroStars would like to congratulate Travis Dodd, Fabian Barbiero, Adam van Dommele and Jason Spagnuolo who will line up for an Adelaide United Legends side this Sunday at Coopers Stadium.

The Adelaide United Legends side will take on the Australian Defence Force (ADF) at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 1.35pm, prior to the Reds’ Hyundai A-League match against Perth Glory.

Fans are encouraged to get down to Coopers Stadium early and watch some of the Reds’ most iconic players, boasting over 1300 matches between them, take to the field.

Two former servicemen, Leeham Lawton and Ricky Skiathitis, both from the 7th Battalion, will represent Soldier On as part of the Legends line-up.

Soldier On is a support service for those who have served our nation and their families.The initiative will help generate awareness of the tremendous work they do for the former servicemen and servicewoman, as well as raise funds at Coopers Stadium in the precincts.

Soldier On assists those that have worked in the ADF and other National Security Agencies which include Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, among other security organisations.

In addition, Adelaide United will have special ticket offers for serving ADF members to recognise and thank those in the defence forces.
