R9 Preview - MetroStars vs. West Adelaide

We preview Round 9 in the National Premier Leagues - SA competition as North Eastern MetroStars host Metro United and West Adelaide at T.K. Shutter Reserve in an NPL Double Header.

MetroStars are coming off a hard fought 2-1 win away to Para Hills Knights in the FFA Cup. Captain Michael D'Aloisio and substitute Cohan Morris put us through to the next round after going behind early.

West Adelaide's last game was two weeks ago where they won 2-1 away against fellow strugglers South Adelaide. Goals either side of half time from Thanasi Lesi and Matthew Bouraee were enough to overcome the Panthers.

Head Coach Robbie Saraceno will will want to continue the momentum as they chase league leaders Adelaide Blue Eagles. Lachlan Barr returns to the side after missing the Para Hills fixture. Anthony Solagna faces a late fitness test after sustaining a back injury. Tim Henderson is a chance to make his return in the Reserves game after missing all of pre-season due to injury.
