R11 Preview - MetroStars vs. Para Hills Knights

We preview Round 11 in the National Premier Leagues - SA competition as North Eastern MetroStars host Para Hills Knights at T.K. Shutter Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

MetroStars are fresh off a disappointing FFA Cup penalty exit away to Elizabeth Downs (match report here). MetroStars were severely depleted missing 4 integral first team players. Matthew Dawber, Matt Charalambous gave the vistirors a two-nil lead but Downs hit back quickly before half-time. Downs fought back to go 3-2 ahead before Cooper O'Donnell, in his full debut for the club, equalised with 11 minutes remaining. Extra time could not separate the two sides so it went to penalties were Elizabeth ultimately prevailed.

Meanwhile Para Hills are coming off a decent 4-1 win at home to struggling to South Adelaide. Goals from Kochi, Sumaoro, Wilke and Marchioro give the Knights the win after they initially went behind to a Liam Wooding penalty.

Tim Henderson is now available for selection after coming on as a substitute midweek. Captain Michael D'Aloisio returns following a suspension. Tom Strain and Christian Esposito are unavailable through injury. Dylan Smith is likely to go straight back into the side after some recent health issues. Former MetroStars midfielder Darsem Shaksi will make his return to T.K Shutter Reserve.
