R13 Preview - MetroStars vs. Adelaide United
We preview Round 13 in the National Premier Leagues - SA competition as North Eastern MetroStars host Adelaide United at T.K. Shutter Reserve on Saturday afternoon.
MetroStars are coming off a 5-0 win over Adelaide Blue Eagles (match highlights here) last Saturday afternoon. A brilliant hat-trick and man of the match performance from Dylan Smith led us to victory over the team sitting second in the league. Rocky Callisto and Matthew Dawber also got on the score sheet to keep us within touching distance of the league leaders Campbelltown City.
Meanwhile Adelaide United are coming off a hard fought 1-1 draw against Adelaide Olympic. The Young Reds made 5 changes to their lineup as their A-League contracted players were made unavailable. Nonetheless an impressive point to stop their 4 game losing streak. Domenico Costanzo and Jai King linked up well to provide the games opener before a conceding a second half penalty.
Christian Esposito is a possibility to be included following a knee injury. Tom Strain and Cohan Morris are unlikely to feature. Fabian Barbiero and Dylan Smith are set to face the club they represented at A-League level. New signings Liam Wooding and Nahuel Bonada are also available for selection.
