Get To Know - Isaac Carmody
We sat down with goalkeeper Isaac Carmody ahead of our league game against West Adelaide to find out more about him in our Get To Know series.
Q: MetroStars debut?
My Metro debut was in 2016.
Q. What attracted you to playing football?
I have just always loved football.
Q. What brought you to Metro?
There was an opening in 2016 after the great Daniel Godley retired.
Q. How long have you been at Metro?
2019 is my 4th season at Metro.
Q. How many years have you played football for, and for what clubs?
I have played football for 19 years now. I played most of my junior football at West Adelaide and at a senior level I have played for Port Pirates, Western Strikers, White City and MetroStars.
Q. Biggest influence on your career?
Daniel Godley.
Q. Do you have any footballing superstitions and a favourite number? I don’t have any superstitions and my favourite number is 1.
Q. What club do you support and why?
I don’t actually support a club because I grew up in a family that didn’t follow football.
Q. Who is your favourite player in the world and why?
Ederson because he is changing the way goalkeepers play.
Q. Greatest on-field moment?
Winning the FFA Cup Final in 2017 against Adelaide City.
Q. Who do you love to beat?
I love beating Adelaide City.
Q. Who has been your toughest opponent?
My toughest opponent has been Anthony Costa.
