Lachlan Barr heads for NPL Victoria

North Eastern MetroStars wishes to advise that defender Lachlan Barr has informed the club of his decision to accept an offer to move interstate and sign for NPL Victoria club, Heidelberg United.

Barr, who arrived at T.K. Shutter Reserve last season from English EFL League One side Bradford City, capped off a stellar first season by winning the Club Champion award and also shared the Player' Player of The Year Award with Liam Wooding. Barr played 23 matches and scored 4 goals this season, and was part of an instrumental part of a strong Metro backline. The following season he made 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals. He also performed impressively in our friendly against A-League side Adelaide United, where he netted the equalising goal.
