Vale Dino Polisena

We regret to announce that the club's former Football Manager and honourable life member Dino Polisena passed away yesterday morning, Thursday 30th of April.

We are truly heartbroken to have lost one of the most kind-hearted and generous people you will ever know and he will be missed.

Dino was the heart and soul of our MetroStars family during the club’s golden years. He held the Club together as our Football Manager, putting his blood, sweat and tears into keeping the club at the forefront of success and contributed to laying down the foundation we have today.

During this time, he oversaw 5 Minor Premierships, 3 Federation Cup Championships and all 3 League Championships.

Players and Club Officials have honoured his commitment to creating a culture at the club which includes family, friends, the game and most importantly the community.

One of the great community men, Dino will always be remembered. He was a true gentleman and we all were gifted with your friendship.

Our condolences and support, love and care is with Dino’s wife Lina, his children Joseph, Adrian, Elise and Alana, as well as with his extended family.

The club, following the end of the lockdown restrictions, will celebrate Dino’s life.

Rest in Peace Dino

The MetroStars Family
