Football SA to honour Bill Misailidis
North Eastern MetroStars would also like to congratulate Bill Misailidis on his nomination for Life Membership of Football South Australia for his outstanding contribution to football in the state.
The Port Pirie born defender made his senior debut for Omonia in 1991 before a succefull spell with Port Adelaide Lions. From there Bill, moved to West Adelaide to play in the National Soccer League where he made 18 appearances. He also represented Gippsland Falcons in the National League. Misailidis joined MetroStars in 2002 under coach Mario Boffa. He helped the club to the an amazing treble in 2004 which saw the club win the Premiership, Championship and Federdation Cup.
Bill was named Club Captain in 2005 and was inducted as a Life Member in 2006.
He departed the club in 2006 and finished his playing career at Savoy Soccer Club in Port Pirie.
Bill now spends his time running the Football Star Academy with his wife, Maz.
