R8 Preview - MetroStars vs. Campbelltown City

We preview Round 8 in the National Premier Leagues - SA competition as MetroStars host Campbelltown City at T.K. Shutter Reserve this Friday evening.

MetroStars are coming into this game on the backs of a hard fought 2-0 win over Adelaide United at VALO Football Centre last Saturday afternoon.

United were boosted with the return of Mohammed Toure, Pacifique Niyongabire, Lachlan Brook, Noah Smith and goalkeeper Dakota Oschensham from the A-League hub in Sydney.

It was the visitors who controlled the game from the start however, with chances for both Mori and Bonada to open the scoring.

Isaac Carmody kept the scores level after being forced into a brilliant save by Brook.

Dylan Smith opened the scoring on 51 minutes after Fabian Babiero's chested ball fall to the attacker who skillfully evaded the United defender before tucking the ball home.

Nahuel Bonada doubled the advantage just 3 minutes later with a spectacular scissor kick to continue his red hot run of form.

3rd placed Campbelltown will be desperate for a win against MetroStars having lost to the Klemzig based club at home just 4 weeks ago.

The Red Devils defeated Adelaide City 1-0 last Friday night with a late Joshua Barresi header enough to seperate the two sides.

Striker Christian Esposito is set to make his 100th MetroStars appearance.

MetroStars coach Rob Saraceno has plenty of depth to choose from this weekend. Stefan Cali the only player on the injury list, having suffered a ruptured ACL last time out against this weekend's opposition.
