2024 Juniors Structure Announced

MetroStars is pleased to announce the 2024 Juniors structure to be headed by Juniors Technical Director Adam Holmes and overseen by Club Technical Director Danny Graystone.

The club has implemented new juniors structure, with the Under 12 to Under 17 age groups being part of the Development Phase program.

The Development Phase program will now each have a Lead who will oversee the development of all teams and players within that phase age group, which will all be following the guidance of Adam Holmes and the club's philosophy.

The Lead role is to ensure individual player development as well as overall team development and performance. Development Phase leads will design and implement training sessions with the assistance of the specific age coaches and will be present on match days on an alternating schedule.

From next season the training environment will be changing to increase the competitiveness of training and to ensure fluency of philosophy and player development between squads.

This allows the club to implement the lead coach structure whilst also having more coaches on the ground working with players. This also allows the club to be able to increase the specificity of training and have more high quality coaching for the players at any given moment.
