MetroStars is excited to announce our Indigenous shirt for this year's annual Indigenous Round match against West Torrens Birkalla to be played this Saturday 5 July at TK Shutter Reserve.
Over the past 6 years, MetroStars have ran the Aboriginal Football Academy inconjunction with the South Australian Aboriginal Secondary Training Academy (SAASTA).

The match has been proudly supported over the years by Beyond Bank, MetroStars' Community partner, who have donated the shirts to both clubs.
The design for this year's game was created by MetroStars’ Aboriginal Football Academy student Brooklyn Rigney.

The meaning of the design was described by Brooklyn.
The circles represent communities and places, showing that we all come from different areas men, women, and children, but we all end up coming together to watch a game of soccer.
The lines connect the circles are travelling tracks, the journey we take to travel from place to place field to field. The moving kangaroos tracks along side the travelling tracks show that we may see kangaroos along the way on our travels.
The shades of red represents land, the land we are on today. As for the yellow dots representing stars, as we watch this game underneath the stars.
The player of the match will receive the Travis Dodd Medal.
