Goals For Canteen - Donation

This season at MetroStars we donated $50 for every goal we scored in the National Premier League SA competition to our community supporter Canteen.

We are pleased to announce that we will be donating $1,900 to Canteen for our 38 goals scored.

MetroStars have been proudly supporting Canteen for over four years, with their logo featuring on our Senior and Junior teams uniforms, as well as the club raising awareness of Canteen throughout marketing publications.

Canteen is an Australian not-for-profit that provides free and tailored support to young people aged 12-25 who are impacted by cancer.

Whether they are dealing with their own diagnosis, a close family member’s cancer or the death of a loved one, Canteen provides:

  • connection with peers in similar situations through events and programs

  • free counselling and individual support

  • 24/7 online support services for young people and parents

  • access to free information and resources

  • specialist support services for young cancer patients

All support services are underpinned by Canteen’s research and evaluation team who conduct world-class psychosocial research with the ultimate goal of transforming the lives of young people affected by cancer.

Canteen was set up by a group of young cancer patients in 1985 and young people still guide the organisation at every level.
