Gregson Appointed Amateurs Coach

MetroStars would like to announce that Lee Gregson has been promoted to Coach of our Amateur League First Team for season 2023.

We would like to thank Steve Greaves for his dedication and commitment to our club over the past three years in helping our club re-establish our Amateur League structure.

After retiring from playing after a career thank spanned 34 years, Gregson spent the past two seasons as Assistant Coach under Greaves and helped guide our side to the Sunday Division 4 title in 2021. He was also the Reserves coach the past two seasons.

Darcy Mayer has been appointed as an Assistant Coach for the First Team to work under Gregson, while still continuing to be part of the playing squad. Mayer has had a long and esteemed playing career in the Amateur League, and joined our club when we re-established our Amateur teams in 2020.
