Junior Presentation Day Results

MetroStars juniors celebrated our most successful junior season ever at yesterday's Junior Presentation Day.

Success can be measured in so many different ways when it comes to Junior sport programs. Winning is not the primary measure of success at MetroStars, however it would be remiss of us not to congratulate a number of our Championship Winning Junior teams this year.

We cannot recall a Junior season like the one we achieved in 2021. With 11 teams in the JPL/JSL system, 6 teams were crowned League Champions, 2 finished Runner-Up, with the remaining sides competitive to the very end.

To go with league success, our Juniors also had a wonderful Cup Campaign, playing in 3 of the 6 Junior Cup finals held last weekend, managing to bring home the trophy in 2 of these games, with the third decided in a penalty shootout.

It is a testament to our Junior Coaches and Technical Directors for all the hard work they have put into the program over the last 10 years. In fact, the last 7 debutants to represent MetroStars at Senior level have all played within our Junior system.

Congratulations to all of our Junior teams for what has been a memorable 2021 Season. The results show that all your hard work and dedication to improve are paying off, and we look forward to what Season 2022 may bring.

Many thanks to Junior Co-ordinator Lisa Darrell and Event Co-ordinator Vicki Morgillo and the rest of the committee for their efforts in putting together such a brilliant day.
