MetroStars to host WNPL sides in 2021

MetroStars are delighted to confirm that it will host 17 Women's National Premier Leagues games at T.K. Shutter Reserve in 2021.

MetroStars will continue it's strategic partnership with WNPL Champions Metro United, whose first home game will be against Fulham United on Friday 16th April alongside MetroStars' home game against CumberlandUnited.

The Port Adelaide Enfield council has granted the club permission to install temporary changing rooms at it's home ground at T.K. Shutter Reserve, with a view to a permanent upgrade in the future.

The temporary changing rooms have been provided to the club by loyal club sponsor Bianco Hire.

Ahead of the WNPLSA Season, Women & Girls Competition Manager Marie Spagnoletti said

The 2021 WNPL Season is almost upon us and we are really excited ahead of the new campaign. More double-headers with the Men's NPL teams and the approaching FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023 makes it a really exciting time to be a WNPL player at present and we are looking forward to welcoming the girls back onto the field on April 9th."

West Adelaide will continue to play it's State League 1 home games at T.K. Shutter Reserve on alternate weekends, with the club's WNPL side playing on the same day as part of a fortnightly double header.
