MetroStars Win 2025 Federation Cup

MetroStars claimed the 2025 Federation Cup with a resounding 3-1 win over Adelaide Croatia Raiders at ServiceFM Stadium

After holding much of the possession in the early part of the match, MetroStars took the lead after a superb run by Tom Visser, whose shot from the top of the box brought the fans to their feet.

Two minutes later, MetroStars doubled their lead when a brilliant throughball from Englishman Owen Windsor, found Cameron Woodfin in the box, with the American making it 2-0.

Just before half time, Philimen Uwineza scored a classy freekick for Croatia to reduce the lead.

An intense second half saw both sides having chances, with MetroStars finally scoring, when after a clearance that deflected back into the box, Windsor slotted past to seal the 3-1 victory.

Man of the Match was awarded to MetroStars' defender Christian D'Angelo.

The victory was MetroStars 7th Federation Cup in their 30 year history.
