Zafiridis rejoins MetroStars

MetroStars are delighted to announce the signing of defender Oliver Zafiridis for the 2022 National Premier Leagues season.

Oliver returns to T.K. Shutter Reserve having began last season with MetroStars, before accepting an offer to move to Victorian NPL side Melbourne Knights.

Oliver previously spent two seasons playing for Croatia Raiders in the NPL, where he played with current MetroStars assistant coach Adam van Dommele.

The quick defender made his senior debut for Modbury Jets before earning a spot in the Adelaide United youth team. It was during this spell he won the club's Most Valuable Player award in the club's as well as the 2015 State League.

After his time with the A-League club, Zafiridis spent one season with Adelaide Comets, before moving onto West Torrens Birkalla where he spent two seasons.
