WNPL Reserves Coaches Announced

MetroStars is delighted to announce the appointments of Marcelo Vilches and Ebony Kyriacou as the club’s WNPL Reserves Coaches for season 2026.
With the recent news of the reunification of both MetroStars & Metro United, the club has appointed joint coaches to lead the next generation of WNPL players.
Kyriacou is synonymous with the club having spent the majority of her playing career with Metro United, winning League Championships in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2020 along with Cup titles in 2013 and 2015. Kyriacou was awarded the Shirley Brown Medal in 2011 as the League’s Player of the Year.
Kyriacou also spent time with the South Australian Sports Institute and Adelaide United in the W-League.
Kyriacou began her coaching career with Metro United’s Miniroos between 2020-2022, before being appointed Under 17 coach from 2023 to 2025. She also was appointed Assistant Coach of Metro United Reserves while playing for the side in 2025.
Vliches began coaching in 2000 coaching MiniRoos teams, and eventually coached Para Hills East Under 13 Girls. He transitioned into coaching Amateur Men’s football being in charge of Chilean FC, Salisbury United, Greenock and Pitbulls.
Vliches was appointed Adelaide Croatia Raiders Women’s coach in 2016, before joining Metro United in 2017 and coached the WNPL Reserves for three seasons leading the side to the treble in 2018. In 2021, Vliches was appointed Junior Technical Director.
